RPS Licentiateship Success

You are sitting there nervous, with sweating hands, whilst someone discusses the 10 prints you have presented, and then you wait for the summary and announcement, wondering what they are going to say…

After much deliberating last year, I decided that I would attempt my distinctions with the Royal Photographic Society, so last Sunday, at Focus on Image at the NEC in Birmingham, I presented a panel of 10 prints to be judged for the Licentiateship Distinction (LRPS).

I am pleased to say that the panel was successful and I was recommended for my Licentiateship.

Above is the hanging plan I submitted with my panel.

I am now planning on a possible approach to the next level of Distinction, that of Associateship (ARPS) – but I need to see if I can spare the time as it is a step up from the Licentiateship. We will see!
