Isle of Harris and North Uist

Just back from an eventful and fairly productive trip to the Isle of Harris, followed by a few days on North Uist...

We had some good spring weather on Harris; plenty of cloud, heavy showers and some bright periods for the first few days. Then just has the rest of the UK entered the start of a long spell of hot weather, the cloud came down over the islands and we finished the rest of the week with just dull cloudy weather. Joys of the Scottish weather 🙂

After spending 5 days on Harris, we spent a couple of days over on North Uist, which was a first for me and I did like the island. Harris has a feel of sparse, open spaces; but Uist takes this to the extreme making Harris seem busy and cramped! Unfortunately, the low cloud continued to hang over the islands and I didn’t manage to make any images I liked. Maybe next time.
